The Oteake Conservation Park is located behind Omarama in the Mackenzie Country. Full of 4WD tracks and some stunning tramping and photographic country. The well known Hawkdun Ranges sits not far from here.
‘Beyond The Range’ treks to and fro, between abstraction and realism. Attempting a sense of geological drama with heightened light, colour, and composition. I expand the boundaries of pure representation with stylised hues and geometric brush-passages. Summoning a viewer’s emotional response to the landscape’s operatic drama and majesty.
