Here are some work in progress images of a second painting in the Wye Creek collection.
While painting this work I am taken back to the Remarkables, Wye Creek area in Queenstown New Zealand. I remember the sun filtering through the clouds, consistently changing and moving.
Through this series I hope to capture the subtle change of light through the evening and my perception of the shifting colour and light. The shadows playing across the land as the sun lowered, approaching the horizon. The colours cooling in the December evening sky.
