Artist in Residence at the Queenstown Arts Centre
I have recently made the move down to Queenstown in November 2020.
The Central Otago, Mackenzie country, Queenstown lakes and South Westland landscape beckons me. I am currently studying these different areas through visiting them in person and gathering resources. These resources include sketches and photographs of the landscape, in different light and seasons.
The landscape is consistently changing. I have also been tramping into many wilderness areas that surround Queenstown. From the river valley's right up to the alpine tops.
Just to name a few, the Ahuriri Valley behind Omarama, the Nevis, and the Remarkables.
I am staying for the winter as I want to experience and capture all four seasons and the different unique beauty they each bring.
