The Hawkdun Range is located in the unique Central Otago country, nearby to the small town Alexandra. The baron hills and mountains that stretch far over this landscape are an untouched beauty of the area. Well known for its hiking and 4WD tracks throughout the area making it accessible at particular times of the year. Often in winter the area is covered with a thick blanket of snow, accompanied by very cold weather.
The small work captures a view looking across to the Hawkdun range as I hiked along the ridge adjacent.
